Materials Scientist

Alfa Chemistry focuses on material chemistry and provides customers with a wealth of nanomaterials that can be used in a wide range of applications. We are looking for experienced, creative, and motivated material scientists to join us. They should have a deep understanding of the impact of materials science, such as nanoparticle synthesis, quantum dot synthesis, organic electrolytes, intercalation chemistry, lithium passivation, surface coatings, etc.

Successful candidates should have firm, focused, and detail-oriented abilities, be able to share a common vision with other staff, have good organizational and communication skills, and have good collaboration skills.

Position Summary

• Conceive, plan and execute research projects in the field of nanostructured material synthesis and characterization.
• Prepare high-quality internal technical reports in a timely manner.
• Identify and develop advanced anode/cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries; evaluate the electrochemical performance of electrode materials in lithium-ion batteries.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the field of responsible technology and its relevance/importance to the company's needs.
• Become an effective member of internal and external project teams in key science and technology fields.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in materials science, chemistry or chemical engineering or related fields
• 3 years or more of work experience
• Rich practical experience in nanostructure synthesis
• Powerful material characterization capabilities
• Have project design, experimental team formation and laboratory management capabilities
• Fully understand the electrochemical testing of lithium-ion battery characterization
• Understand and diagnose the failure mechanism of materials in the product
• Ability to be independent and teamwork
