    SA is a tetrameric protein that has a very high affinity for biotin. SA coated magnetic agarose beads provided by Alfa Chemistry covalently connect SA to the surface of solid carrier, which can efficiently bind biotinylated antibody, nucleic acid, protein and other molecules. Our products can conveniently and quickly capture target molecules and achieve magnetic separation. Additionally, our products are compatible with automated equipment for high-throughput operations.

    You Need to Know

    • Freezing of magnetic beads or any other inappropriate operation is prohibited.
    • Before using the magnetic beads, shake them thoroughly to ensure even suspension.  Bubbles should be avoided during operation.
    • In order to reduce the loss of magnetic beads, each magnetic separation time should be no less than 1 min.
    • It is recommended to use high-quality pipette tips and reaction tubes to avoid losses due to adhesion of magnetic beads and solution.
    • The size of biotinylated molecules will affect the loading capacity of the magnetic beads. Customers need to determine the loading capacity of the magnetic beads for specific biotinylated molecules based on experiments.
    • The amount of biotinylated molecules added should be 1 to 2 times the loading capacity of the magnetic beads to ensure their saturation.
    • Our products need to be used with magnetic separation equipment.
