Multilayer/monolayer Mo2TiC2Tx is a member of the MXene family, a class of two-dimensional materials derived from layered transition metal carbides, carbonitrides, or nitrides. Composed of molybdenum (Mo), titanium (Ti), and carbon (C) atoms, with surface terminations (Tx) like -OH, =O, or -F introduced during the etching process, this material exhibits remarkable properties.
Our Mo2TiC2Tx is synthesized by etching the precursor phase Mo2TiAlC2. Currently, the most commonly used etching method on the market involves the use of hydrofluoric acid (HA). Alfa Chemistry employs HA to produce multilayer Mo2TiC2Tx and combines HA with intercalation reactions to prepare monolayer Mo2TiC2Tx.
