V4C3Tx is a member of the MXene family, derived from the MAX phase compound V4AlC3, where V represents vanadium and Tx indicates surface modifications such as -OH, =O, or -F functional groups. V4C3Tx can be synthesized in both monolayer and multilayer forms. The monolayer form exhibits exceptional electrical conductivity and large surface area, making it ideal for applications in energy storage, catalysis, and sensors. In its multilayered form, V4C3Tx retains many of these properties while offering additional robustness and structural integrity, which are advantageous for use in electrodes, supercapacitors, and electromagnetic interference shielding.
