Product Introduction:
Concanavalin A (Con A) coated magnetic beads are made by covalently coupling high-quality Con A with superparamagnetic magnetic beads. Con A is a seed lectin of the jack bean plant (Canavalia ensiformis) and has a high affinity for specific sugar residues on certain glycoproteins, particularly terminal α-D-mannosyl and α-D-glucosyl residues. When Con A is coated on magnetic beads, it can selectively bind to glycoproteins or glycolipids containing these specific sugar moieties.
