Nb2CTx is a type of two-dimensional material, a member of the MXene family, composed of niobium (Nb) and carbon (C) layers, with surface terminations (Tx) that can vary, typically including oxygen, hydroxyl, or fluoride groups. These terminations play a crucial role in enhancing the material's surface properties, such as hydrophilicity and the ability to form stable dispersions in aqueous solutions.
Alfa Chemistry's Nb2CTx is etched from the precursor phase Nb2AlC. Currently, the most commonly used etching method is hydrofluoric acid (HA) etching. We have also introduced a lithium-ion exchange technology, which addresses the oxidation issues caused by high-temperature etching or incomplete removal of intercalants.
