Multilayer/Monolayer Ti3CNTx is a 2D material from the MXene family, comprising titanium, carbon, and nitrogen, with surface terminations such as –OH, –O, or –F introduced during synthesis. Ti3CNTx exhibits a combination of excellent conductivity, thermal and chemical stability, making it suitable for various applications, including energy storage, catalysis, and as a potential material for new generations of electronic devices. Its unique properties arise from the interplay of its layered structure and the hybridization of electronic states, facilitating diverse functional characteristics. Alfa Chemistry's Ti3CNTx is etched from the precursor phase Ti3AlCN. The primary etching system used is the lithium fluoride/hydrochloric acid (LiF/HCl) system.
