    CVD Graphene List

Graphene with excellent properties has potential applications in composite materials, sensors, high performance electronic devices, flexible devices and other fields. Controllable preparation of high-quality graphene materials is one of the bottleneck problems in its application and is also the focus of current research. The main methods to prepare graphene include mechanical exfoliation, liquid phase exfoliation, bottom-up preparation method and chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Among them, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is an effective and controlled method to prepare graphene and large area and high-quality CVD graphene can be obtained. When prepared CVD graphene, the planar substrate is placed in a high-temperature decomposable precursor atmosphere, and carbon atoms will deposit on the surface of the substrate by high-temperature annealing to form CVD graphene. Finally, CVD graphene are obtained after the metal substrate is removed by chemical etching method. The growth of graphene can be controlled by selecting the type of substrate, growth temperature, and flow rate of precursor. Single-layer or multi-layer CVD graphene with large area can be successfully prepared by this method.

    Applications:

    • Solar cell field: CVD graphene has important potential applications in solar cells. Because CVD graphene is transparent, electrical panels made from it have better transparency than other materials and solar cells with excellent performance can be designed. Furthermore, the electrons transport speed of CVD graphene is faster than silicon, which makes solar cells based on CVD graphene have the characteristics of high efficiency and energy saving.

    • Electronic products manufacturing field: Silicon has brought us to the digital age, but researchers are still eager to find new materials to make integrated circuits smaller, faster and cheaper. Among the many alternatives, CVD graphene is the most striking material. With the advantages of ultra-high strength, light transmittance and electrical conductivity, CVD graphene is an ideal material for making flexible display devices and ultra-high-speed electronic devices. Therefore, CVD graphene plays an important role in the field of electronic products manufacturing.
    • The others: CVD graphene can also be used in many other fields, including transistors field, flexible displays field, hydrogen storage field, biosensors field and the others. Due to the highly stable structure, CVD graphene can be used to make transistors that can still work stably at the scale that close to a single atom. In addition, because the electrons in the CVD graphene react very quickly to the external field, transistors made from CVD graphene can be operated at extremely high frequencies. Furthermore, graphene has the advantages of light weight, high chemical stability and high specific surface area, making it an excellent candidate for hydrogen storage materials.

    Classification:

According to the thickness and number of layers deposited, CVD graphene can be divided into mono-layer CVD graphene, double-layer CVD graphene and multi-layer CVD graphene.
