    Application
The Iron(II,III) Oxide Nanoparticle Dispersion is designed for a variety of applications, leveraging the versatile properties of magnetite, or triiron tetraoxide (Fe3O4). This black, magnetic material is widely utilized as a pigment in paints, linoleum, and ceramic glazes, as well as in glass coloring and as a polishing compound. Additionally, it finds uses in the textile industry, as a component in cathodes, and as a catalyst. When subjected to high temperatures with a reducing agent like hydrogen or carbon monoxide, magnetite produces metallic iron, making it a critical resource in metallurgical processes. Furthermore, it reacts with concentrated acids to form valuable mixtures of iron(II) and iron(III) salts. The dispersion is characterized by a minimum content of 90% Fe3O4, a pH value between 5 and 8, and a density of 4.5 g/ml. It also features an oil absorption range of 10-20%, minimal residue on a 320 mesh, and low water solubility and volatility, ensuring high tinting strength and consistency close to the standard.
